Hi Rudy,
I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how much we appreciated the wonderful job that you and the Gentlemen of Leisure did on Friday night. Our friends and family who have heard of the band or been at a function where you have performed in the past were soooo excited to be able to hear you again and those who were not familiar with the band were blown away. That is all I heard all night---"This band is unbelievable". As usual, you kept everyone on their feet and rocking for the whole night. That is exactly what we wanted and you delivered in fine style. Jen and Tom had the time of their lives, and you made their wedding reception an event that they and all of their friends will remember in great detail forever. THank you so very much for all of your efforts and for being so accommodating with all their requests.

Hey Guys!!!,
I promise I am done with all my questions , , , this is just a big note of THANKS!!!
Now that we are back to earth and getting into the swing of real life things again, we really wanted to reach out and thank you guys for helping to make our wedding so amazing. We cannot begin to tell you how much fun everyone had at our wedding last weekend, although I am sure you guys had a pretty good idea from your vantage point. If I had a dollar for the number of times peope came us to me raving about how great you guys were and that you were the best special events band they have ever heard, I'd be a rich man for sure. People were blown away and really could not believe how great you guys were. It was really next level type stuff . . . and this is coming from a ton of hardcore music fanatics.
From the musicians to the singers and everything in between, your energy, attitude, vibe, and presence were such an important part of our day. I could not of asked for anything more . . . other than that ridiculous 9:00 p.m. curfew to be changed.
Soi we are sending our warmest thanks and gratitude and can't wait to see you guys perform again soon!!!

November 3, 2010 Dear Rudy and the Gentlemen of Leisure Band and crew: It has been 3 months since our wedding at the Knickerbocker Hotel and the rave reviews about the band continue to pour in from friends and family. I wish I had a dollar for everyone who has said it was the best wedding they've ever been to - and I attribute that to the band 100%. As we planned our wedding, I didn't care where it was held or what food was served. All I wanted was to have the best music and dancing. The Gents exceeded my expectations and put on an outstanding performance that went beyond the party I dreamed of. I mean, what band would invite the bride on stage to dance . . . not once, not twice, but over and over??!! And, what band would actually give the bride a microphone to join in with the girls??!! (I'm glad you knew enought not to tutn the mic on.) Our absolut favorite part was the long serenade led by the horn section. I've never seen anything like it. Seeing the guys on the floor, still playing on their backs was amazing and hilarious. The ladies getting the crowd going with the napkims in the air and then finding ourselves in the center of it all with the tambourines made us feel like a king and queen. John and I were also so excited that you rehearsed and played our first dance sonag and the songs for the father and mother dances. That was a very special treat and unexpected. You were also very generous to indulge our special request for the 'Man ofHonor' to showcase hi "Sex Machine" routine. Our family has an annual karaoke dance party and the James Brown act is a tradition going on 12 years. You are so kind to have given him the stage time and control of the microphone. We realize the fools that we are but are so grateful for your generosity. I hope you all at least got a chuckle out of it. People still talk about the costume changes, the non-stop music, and the fireball on stage. It is no exaggeration when I tell you that I had the best night of my life. We got out photos back and we wish we could go back and re-live that party every Friday. Thank you for your professionalism, your sense of humor, and of course, your tremendous talent. Thank you for making our wedding celebration so remarkable and the best wedding reception we, and all our our guests have ever been to. We hope to see you all very soon. Jessica and John Speedwell |

My entire family wishes to thank you and the GOLB for the remarkable job you did at Liz and Jim’s wedding last week at the Intercontinental. People who were not even at the event have come up to me to tell me the rave reviews they had received from our guests as to your performance. It could not have been better and we could not be happier. I also want to thank Kensley for the wonderful job he did during the cocktail hour and in doing the bridal party introductions.
Everything was first class. The music and choreography was spectacular. You played every song Liz requested and best of all, you had everyone singing, dancing and smiling. More than one person has told me it was the best event they have ever been to. Two people stated it was better than any show they had seen in Vegas! What more can I say.
One other thing I really appreciate—you made the entire experience from my first contact with you to the last song you played so easy and simple that I know why you are Chicago’s favorite band!
If you ever need a reference, just let me know. I will be honored to provide one.

Hey Rudy, I want to thank you again for the Band's amazing performance this past Saturday. Just unreal. Everyone there (literally) said you guys were the best band they've ever heard. I can't get over how insane the set list was - it blew away everyone. Maybe it was just Rachel and me and our family and friends, but many people said there was a charged energy in the room throughout the reception. Not sure if you guys felt it, but you certainly helped to create it. What a crazy night it was, what a way to celebrate and honor my dad. I dont think anyone there on Saturday will ever forget that celebration. I know I will forever remember our wedding night for two things - an unbelievable way to start my marriage with Rachel, and an emotional good bye to my dad from everyone there who partied their asses off in his honor. And without your Band's unforgettable performance, we wouldn't have had either of those things. Thank you for everything. I hope we see you again in the future. That is all anyone had to say about Saturday night and we, Bob and I had the time of our lives. Quinn and Ben had such a wonderful wedding reception , thanks to you and all of the people who got up and danced. Your music was wonderful, your timing impeccable, your read of the guests, right on. It was fabulous.
Keep on doing what you do so well to bring sheer joy to a room filled with people sharing love. You are a real class act and please let the whole band know how much we appreciate their sharing their musical gifts with us.

You and your band are magnificent! I am blown away each and every time I see you perform and last Friday was no exception. I must tell you that I don’t recall the last time that many people were on the dance floor at a Joffrey Gala!
